Wiring done. Ground run through bulk head and drilled and fastened to the pan "head". 8 circuit fuse block set up on trap door so it can be accessed later as needed. 4 relays. Cable trey to run wires to dash from harness. Tried to solder every butt splice and shrink wrap from engine and tail lights forward. Couldn't find solder ends so used crimp on ends. Don't you love that 1970's NOS Monroe Matic steering stabilizer Found it on eGay for $9 still in the purple Monroe Box.

Used fuel tank from 76 donor. Relocated fuel filler to upper pass side. Speedo cable installed.

I know it's not traditional, but I like the fixed wind screen. It is very strong and does not flex. I have had other buggy owners state that their traditional wind screen's moved around at speed. I really need to remove the windshield to get a good paint job and I am hoping that I do not break the glass or tear up the gasket.

I have yet to relocate to fuel filler to the mid upper pass side of the hood. I have a aluminum trap door from a Chevy Silverado truck to put on there, one push it opens, one push it closes.

I have got to get rid of the nasty box the PO put on this body. Had to cut a little of the "Big Rig" taillight holes out to fit the rear bumper. This is just a empty block and heads to use as a mock up motor to set clearances.

Here is a rear shot showing the brace I put in that ties to the roll cage and triangulates the rear suspension. It also shows the PO's hack job that will need repaired.

Two owners ago was a Cleveland Browns fan and he rattle can spray painted the buggy this orange over top the original "firebrand" purple metallic.

Had to do some FG repair. Foam plug was built to form a new tail box for the buggy. The fiberglass and resin added.

The tail light openings were huge and not very attractive. They also had to be reformed and rebuilt by hand to fix the tail of the buggy.

After repairing the front, top fenders from the turn signal mount, the hood gas filler hole, misc other body holes, the body was painted. The color is 2007 Dodge Ghost silver with what was supposed to be a semi gloss black stripe.

New adjustable front BJ beam, new front disk's, all new braking system, new lines, new CV's and boots, new tranny mounts, new front and rear wheel bearings and seals, new lowered shocks for the front and KYB gas shocks for the rear. New tie rods, lowered BJ's and caster shims.

I had already welded the new pan halves in, shortened the pan 14 1/4 inches before even starting the build. I completely built the buggy, then tore apart to paint. So, here is the pan.

Next to install the engine. 1835 with engle 110 cam, Weber 42 DCNF, deep sump, full flow oiling, dog house 36 horse shroud, 041 heads pp'ed, 1.25:1 rockers and ceramic duals.

Installed a oil pressure low switch to shut off the electric fuel pump in case of an accident .What I did was to wire a relay to the accessory side of the key switch so as to activate the fuel pump while cranking but still be safe in case of an accident.

Dash is comprised of 76 donor gauge. All works except EGR light and seat belt light. Close out Summit Racing tach with adjustable shift light. Old used oil pressure gauge. Taped all gauges off, hand sanded bezels and sprayed semi gloss black so they would somewhat match. Turn signal switch above speedo head with indicator lights. Red fuel pump aircraft switch and then two additional aircraft switches for running lights and head lights. Pull switch turns on gauge lights.

Finally finished the buggy and drove it. WOW!! These things are really fun. I thought my wife was going to be scared $#!*less of it, but she said it was the best thing she has ever ridden in??? She likes it better than her new Miata. A little rough ride for me, but handles like it is on a rail and it does not need the sway bar installed back on.

I have it tuned a little rich with the weber 40 DCNF single dual carb and it does have the 009 flat spot but wow this 1835 with 041 PP'ed heads and 100 cam flat gets it down the road. I have the shift light set for 4500 rpm, but the engine wants more.

This body has a tube molded in under the driver side that the wiring is run in and once the body is on, just connect the two and I'm done in the back.

Did mount the dash and hood to see what/where I wanted the gauges. I have one older "RAC" brand oil pressure gauge that matches close to the '75 speedo. A three position switch will be mounted to the left of the steering shaft for the turn signals.
